Building Community and Improving Collaborative Work with Classroom Meetings
About the Course
Hello! I am Ayla Duve and I teach 7th and 8th grade science. Have you experienced the struggle of trying to get your middle schoolers to work together during group or lab activities? I certainly have and even when I let friends work together I would still have struggles. The solution that has worked the best is Classroom Meetings using a method called Developmental Designs from Originsonline.org. In my course I will share with you how I implemented classroom meetings so they are more organized and build a community in my classroom. While my experience with classroom meetings is with middle schoolers, this course can be adaptable for teachers in any grade level. With this course you’ll also receive a pdf with additional resources and tips to help implement your classroom meetings.
